About Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a non surgical cosmetic treatment that is known to dimish problem areas of the body. Common aesthetic pathologies are cellulite, excess weight, wrinkles, stretch marks, sagging skin, hair loss, just to name a few. It is administered via numerous injections of individual ingredients that are usually FDA approved for certain conditions. Mesotherapy is introduced into the mesoderm- the layer of fat and tissue beneath the outer layer of the skin. The mixtures, ratio and technique varies in accordance to the requirement of each patient's case, and the area to be treated.

Some recommendations which we have for certain treatments are the following:

Fat Reduction/Weight Loss: Usually 4-10 treatments are required at intervals of 2 to 4 weeks. Cellulite Reduction: Approximately 4 -10 treatments are necessary at intervals every 1-2 weeks. Lower Blepharoplasty: 1 or 2 treatments are recommended at 6 week intervals (at times the second treatment is not necessary). Facial Rejuvenation: 4-6 treatments are required at 2-3 week intervals. It is one of the most popular mesotherapy treatments, as satisfied patients notice a substantial improvement in their facial appearance. Hair Loss: 4-10 treatments are required at weekly intervals for the first 6 sessions, then moving on to every 2 week application. A maintenance treatment of every 3 months is desired.

Liposomes can be prepared by disrupting biological membranes (such as by sonication). Liposomal delivery of nutrients offers a serious advance in therapy for life-threatening conditions such as:
  • Parkinsonism
  • Alzheimers
  • Autism
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Congestive Heart Failure

  • Larger areas can be treated.
  • Clients can return to normal activities immediately.

How many treatments are required before I see results?

It depends on the patient's body and the extent of the fat/cellulite/skin to be treated. Some patients see results after one treatment session while most patients require three to five (3 - 5) treatments to notice results. Often the patient’s clothing will become looser and the patient will appear thinner. Mesotherapy is more about losing inches than losing large amounts of weight. Some patients may require five to fifteen (5 - 15) treatments, and sometimes more.Proper dietary lifestyle and nutritional supplementation are essential to achieve the best long-term results. Because aging is a dynamic process that cannot be stopped, mesotherapy injections are useful in preventing against the ravages of aging. Maintenance treatments of the face, neck, arms, and hands may be needed two to four (2 - 4) times a year.

Can I go back to work after treatment?

Yes. This procedure takes less than 45 minutes per session.

How often can treatments be done?

In general, once every ten to fourteen days.

What are the benefits of mesotherapy over surgical techniques such as liposuction?

Fat deposits are flushed from the body and do not reappear in other areas which often occurs after liposuction. Needle-free mesotherapy does not require hospitalization, anesthesia or downtime.

When will I see results?

Needle-free Mesotherapy utilizes threshold electroporation to duplicate the effects of conventional mesotherapy without needles. The benefits to this approach are obvious in terms of comfort, elimination of potential side effects and even distribution of active ingredients to a precise and consistent depth in tissue. On the average, you will notice a visible improvement in two sessions. For certain conditions, patients see result after the first session. The results are very lasting especially when combined with the appropriate exercise and lifestyle habits.

Will the fat that was removed from the treated areas return?

Needle-free Mesotherapy removes the fat from the fat cell without destroying it. This helps your skin regain its natural appearance. The failure rate of mesotherapy has shown to be low (8%). Exercise and diet in addition to mesotherapy have shown the best long-term results.

Can mesotherapy be used for facial slimming and rejuvenation?

The mesolift is a mesotherapy approach to treat aging, sagging, and wrinkling of the skin involving the face and neck. Needle-free Mesotherapy helps to shrink fat from under the neck, remove free radical damage, and tighten loose skin. The effects rejuvenate the face and neck without the unnatural appearance and painful recovery of surgical alternatives.

MesoRolling or Skin Needling

Skin Needling is a form of mesotherapy that effectively treats cellulite, scars, stretch marks, hair loss and facial wrinkles. It uses a roller with small needles that completes a mesotherapy procedure fast and effectively. While a skin needling or mesorolling device can be effective for hair loss, skin flaccidilty, and facial wrinkles, it is not sufficient for lipolysis treatments and intradermal delivery of hyaluronic acid. Any roller above .5mm needs to be administered by a professional only. Lidocaine needs to be used for anything above .5mm to manage pain. Please observe frequency of treatment for these types of rollers:
  • A 0.2 mm or 0.25 mm roller can be used every second day.
  • A 0.5 mm roller can be used once a week.
  • A 1.0 mm roller can be used once per 2-3 weeks.
  • A 1.5 mm and above roller should not be used more often than once every 5 weeks
Here is our derma rolling protocol: All rollers above the size of .5mm in length needs a licensed aesthetician or aesthetic professional for administration.

Stretch Marks

1.0mm for light stretch marks and 1.5mm for deep stretch marks, you would need to decide which would best suit your needs.

Acne Scars and Other Facial Scars

0.5mm for light acne scarring, mild chicken pox scars or ice pick scars, or simply regular anti ageing treatments. A 1.0mm roller is more suitable for deep acne scarring, surgery scars, ice pick or chicken pox scars, and 1.5mm Derma Rollers are for very deep scarring. A Derma Roller 1.5mm is the maximum we would recommend for use on the face (unless as part of a professional treatment), but your body is less sensitive to treatment, so you should decide which would best suit your needs. You may also wish to choose the 3 line roller as it is better suited to use on certain parts of your face (such as around the nose), but it is not always necessary as our regular roller may suit you.

Hair Loss and Alopecia

For thinning hair or greying hair, the 0.5mm Derma Roller is ideal, with 1mm rollers more suitable for more extensive hair loss.

What about for Cellulite?

The best microneedle length size for cellulite is 1mm or 1.5mm depending on how severe the case is.
